Lions safety Morice Norris is in concussion protocol and team will ease him back in, coach says

Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell says safety Morice Norris is in concussion protocol and doing well. Norris was taken off the field in an ambulance late in a preseason game Friday night. After spending the night in an Atlanta hospital following the exhibition game against the Falcons that ended early, Norris flew back to Detroit on Saturday and returned to the Lions’ facility on Sunday. Campbell said Monday the Lions were going to “take it nice and easy” and make sure the 24-year-old Norris was “good over the next 10 to 14 days” and then reassess. Norris was hurt while trying to tackle Falcons running back Nathan Carter.
