Bernie Kosar says he will receive a liver transplant Monday morning

Former NFL quarterback Bernie Kosar is set to receive a liver transplant Monday morning. He shared the news in a social media post Sunday night, expressing gratitude for the support he’s received. The 61-year-old was initially scheduled for the transplant last weekend, but it was delayed due to an infected donor organ. Kosar has undergone five procedures in the past week to stop internal bleeding. He revealed last year that he has cirrhosis of the liver and Parkinson’s disease. Kosar played 12 seasons in the NFL, notably with the Cleveland Browns, and won a Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys.
