Juli Inkster played her first LPGA event in three years to face competition before the U.S. Senior Women’s Open next week. The 65-year-old Hall of Famer nearly set an LPGA record. Inkster had a pair of bogeys late in her round at The Standard Portland Classic. She shot 74 after a first-round 69 and missed cut by a stroke. JoAnne Carner holds the record as the oldest to make the cut in LPGA history at age 64 in 2004. Inkster says most players today think she is JoAnne Carner.
