New York Jets’ Kris Boyd surprises teammates with return after being shot
New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd returned to the team’s facility just over two weeks after being shot in Manhattan. ESPN reports Boyd surprised his teammates Wednesday by attending a special teams meeting. Last Wednesday, Boyd posted on Instagram about “health issues” that sent him back to the hospital. He was shot on November 16 near Times Square and taken to Bellevue Hospital. Police have released images of a suspect, but no arrests have been made. Boyd hasn’t played this season due to a shoulder injury. He signed a one-year contract with the Jets in March.
