Carter Hart to make first NHL start in nearly 2 years for Golden Knights

Goalie Carter Hart, acquitted of sexual assault in July, is set to make his first NHL appearance in nearly two years. He will start Tuesday night when the Vegas Golden Knights host Chicago. Hart signed a two-year, $4 million contract and has been working with the club’s American Hockey League affiliate in Henderson, Nevada. He last played in an NHL game on Jan. 20, 2024, for Philadelphia. Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy said the focus is on getting Hart back into game shape. With starting goalie Adin Hill injured, Hart’s return could be crucial for Vegas.
