Tyreek Hill boosts spirits of Dolphins with visit soon after major knee surgery

Tyreek Hill has made a visit to team headquarters of the Miami Dolphins. The trip lifted the spirits of teammates just four days after a major knee injury that ended the dynamic receiver’s season. Hill sustained significant ligament damage in the Dolphins’ 27-21 victory over the New York Jets. The 31-year-old Hill got attention on social media for appearing upbeat while in the hospital for surgery. That continued after his release with him showing up at Friday’s team meeting.

Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill carted off field and taken to hospital with dislocated left knee

Miami wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been taken to a hospital after suffering a dislocated left knee. Hill was hurt when he made a catch and got tackled near the New York Jets’ sideline with 13:21 left in the third quarter Monday night. He was running toward the sideline and planted his left foot, and his knee appeared to twist severely as he was getting pulled down. Players from both teams took a knee while Hill was tended to. The Dolphins said Hill was going to the hospital “for imaging, evaluation and observation.”

Tyreek Hill: ‘I’ve got to prove myself’ to Dolphins after last season’s frustrations

Tyreek Hill said he has to prove to the Miami Dolphins that they can depend on him as a committed leader after his comments at the end of last season indicating that he wants to play somewhere else. Hill has spent the offseason rehabbing two wrist procedures and said he’s focused on putting last season’s frustrations behind him while achieving his goal of surpassing 2,000 yards receiving. Additionally, the Dolphins are still pursuing trade options for cornerback Jalen Ramsey. Coach Mike McDaniel declined to give details on why the relationship deteriorated.
