Davis Webb promoted to Broncos offensive coordinator

Sean Payton has promoted Davis Webb to offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos, replacing Joe Lombardi. Webb, considered a rising offensive mind in the NFL, joined the Broncos as quarterbacks coach in 2023. Despite never being a coordinator, he interviewed for head coach positions with several teams. Logan Kilgore has been hired as the quarterbacks coach. Payton has not indicated if Webb will take over play-calling duties, however. Quarterback Bo Nix is recovering from ankle surgery after missing the Broncos’ AFC championship game loss to New England. Webb’s promotion follows his withdrawal from head coaching consideration with the Raiders.
