Browns give play-calling duties to Tommy Rees in hopes of reviving struggling offense
Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will start calling plays, beginning with Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Coach Kevin Stefanski announced the change on Monday as the Browns resumed practice after their bye week. Stefanski had been considering this move for the past three weeks. He believes Rees is the right person to improve the team’s struggling offense. Rees, in his second season with the Browns, was promoted to offensive coordinator during the offseason. The Browns’ offense ranks near the bottom of the league in several categories, and Rees is tasked with reviving it.
