Delgado, Kent, Sheffield and Valenzuela join Hall ballot with Bonds, Clemens, Mattingly and Murphy

Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Don Mattingly and Dale Murphy are on the Hall of Fame’s contemporary baseball era committee ballot. They will be joined by Carlos Delgado, Jeff Kent, Gary Sheffield and Fernando Valenzuela. The 16-person committee meets Dec. 7 in Orlando, Florida. A 75% vote is needed for election. Anyone elected will be inducted on July 26. Albert Belle, Rafael Palmeiro and Curt Schilling were dropped from the ballot. Fred McGriff was elected from the previous contemporary ballot in December 2022.
