The Toronto Blue Jays have found success after switching to retro caps with white panels. Relief pitcher Jeff Hoffman suggested the change after the team lost six out of seven games, dropping into a tie with the New York Yankees for the AL East lead. Since adopting the 1992 World Series-style hats, the Blue Jays have gone 5-0. They now lead the Yankees 2-0 in their best-of-five AL Division Series. The team wore the caps in July for the first time since 2022, breaking them out for a Hall of Fame weekend promotion. Players have embraced the change, sticking with the white-panel hats and navy jerseys.
