STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis Police and Meade County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident at I-90’s Exit 32 Thursday Night.
Police Chief Geody Vandewater says the incident was a subject having a mental health crisis and threatening to jump off the bridge.
He says officers were able to safely remove them from the bridge and get them to the hospital for treatment.
Assisting the PD was Sturgis ambulance, SDHP, and Meade County dispatch and deputies.
