BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper boys wrestling team captured first place at the Belle Fourche Invite, running away with the title by scoring 336 points.

Rapid City Stevens was a distant second, finishing with 177.5 points. Hot Springs was third with 148 points and Custer was fourth with 115.5 points.

Sturgis crowned nine champions on the day.

The Scooper girls wrestling team also captured the Belle Fourche Invite team title, scoring Sturgis 227 points. Spearfish was second with 214.5 and Rapid City Stevens was third with 201.5 points.
