Sturgis Mayor Kevin Forrester, who has been engaged in discussions with residents over the past two weeks in hopes of finding a workable solution, was not in attendance Monday night due to illness.

Sturgis City Administrator Aaron Jordan says they have been making adjustments with the many unique situations they are starting to hear about in Sturgis.

The council decided to take no action last night, allowing the mayor further time to develop a recommendation as to whether the Ordinance Committee’s proposed framework can be modified to strike a better balance.
