SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper Girls Wrestling team captured the Spearfish Invite title on Saturday.

Sturgis finished on top with 178 points and crowned one champion with Annalee Pierson at 110 pounds. Finishing runner-up for Sturgis were Jenika Leonhardt at 100 pounds, Brooklyn Baird at 130 pounds and Shleby Werlinger at 145.

Spearfish placed second with 165 points and crowned two champions with Mathilde Matsuda winning the 135 pound title and Candice Matsuda winning at 130 pounds.

Rapid City Central placed third in the team standings with 160.5.
