RAPID CITY, S.D. — Rapid City Area Schools will host a series of summer job fairs aimed at connecting local employers with motivated high school students seeking employment opportunities.

The RCAS Summer Job Fairs will take place on three separate dates and locations across Rapid City, giving businesses multiple opportunities to engage with students interested in entering the workforce.

The first job fair is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Stevens High School. Additional events will be held Wednesday, Feb. 18, at Central High School and Wednesday, March 18, at Rapid City Alternative Academy.

Each job fair will follow the same schedule, with employer setup running from 10:30 to 11:05 a.m. The job fair itself will take place from 11:10 a.m. to 12:35 p.m., followed by teardown from 12:35 to 1 p.m.

According to Rapid City Area Schools, the events are designed to help employers connect directly with students who are actively seeking summer and part-time employment. Participating businesses will have the opportunity to promote their company culture, discuss available positions and conduct on-the-spot interviews.

School officials say the fairs benefit both students and employers by creating early workforce connections and giving students real-world experience interacting with potential employers.

Employers interested in participating are encouraged to register in advance. Additional details, including event logistics, will be emailed to registered participants prior to the job fairs.

The RCAS Summer Job Fairs are open to employers across a variety of industries and are intended to support workforce development while helping students gain valuable employment experience.
