Rapid City, SD – The Rapid City Rush lose 3-2 during a chippy physical game against the Allen Americans. The three game series is now even at one win each.

The Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliates of NHL’s Calgary Flames, were given an early advantage with a penalty on Allen’s Asuchak at only 13 seconds into the game. Rapid City’s  inability to score on this power play foreshadowed the remainder of the game.

The Americans first goal, by Anthony Constantini, came directly from a penalty call on Arsenii Sergeev for interference at 4:17 of the first period.

Allen’s Caron scored at 18:23 of the second. Blake Bennet assisted by Wagner and Wilkie scored at 3:29 for Rapid City.

Ryan Chyzowski found the net for the Rush at just 51 seconds into the third period.

Hank Crone answered that call for Allen with the winning goal at 18:27 of the last period.

Arsenii Sergeev stopped  26 of 29 shots for the Rush, while Marco Constantini fielded 37 of 39 to aid Allen in the win.

A total of eleven minor penalties were called between the teams.  Rapid City could not connect on six power play opportunities.
