UPDATE, 12/4/25 3:36PM – Assistant Chief of Police Scott Sitts has confirmed that the individuals in the provided images have been identified. “The individuals have been identified as 43-year-old John Feather of Lead, SD, and 39-year-old Robert White Plume Janis of Rapid City. A warrant request has been submitted to the Pennington County States Attorney for Robbery in the 2nd Degree and False Imprisonment”.
RAPID CITY, S.D. – Authorities in Rapid City are asking for the community’s help to identify two people wanted for questioning regarding a violent incident at a local establishment earlier this year.
The Rapid City Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place on Aug. 28, 2025. At approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded to Joker’s Casino at 903 E. North St. after receiving a report of a robbery.
According to police, two suspects lured a customer outside the casino. Once outside, the suspects allegedly assaulted the victim and robbed him of his winnings.
Police are looking to identify the individuals shown in surveillance photographs in connection with the investigation.
