Person Rescued From Rapid City Structure Fire

Rapid City, SD – One person was rescued from a structure fire that broke out last night in the 200 block of E Idaho Street. The Rapid City Fire Department (RCFD) was dispatched to the scene around 9:45 PM.

Upon arrival, crews observed smoke emanating from the structure and were immediately informed of potential victims trapped inside. Initial responders quickly initiated a search of the home, while subsequent crews began fire suppression efforts and assessed ventilation needs.

Firefighters successfully located and rescued one victim from the burning structure. The individual was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The fire was subsequently extinguished, and a thorough search confirmed no other victims were inside. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
