Pennington County Administrative Departments Open at New Rapid City Location

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Pennington County has officially completed the relocation of all administrative departments to the new Pennington County Administration Building at 900 Concourse Drive. All offices are now open and fully operational at the new address.

The move encompasses several key departments, all operating Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Services available at the new building include:

  • Auditor’s Office – Services such as absentee voting, voter registration, and county lien payments.
  • Treasurer’s Office – Assistance with vehicle registration, motor vehicle titles, lien services, property tax payments, and disabled parking placards.
  • Commission Office – Location for Board of Commissioners meetings and county governance support.
  • Equalization Office – Providing property assessment information, details on owner-occupied and agricultural property, and assistance with disabled veteran exemptions.
  • Planning & Zoning Office – Issuing building permits, managing planning commission meetings, overseeing vacation home rental licensing, ordinance complaint violations, and offering information on ordinances and wastewater systems.
  • Register of Deeds Office – Issuing vital record copies, processing marriage licenses, recording real estate documents, and filing lien records.
