Nate Smith Headlining the South Dakota State Fair Grandstand

The South Dakota State Fair has announced Nate Smith as the Saturday Grandstand headliner, performing Saturday, September 5 at 8:00 pm CT in Huron.

In just two years, Smith has become one of country music’s biggest breakout stars, stacking up more than 2.9 billion global streams and earning four consecutive No. 1 singles, including “Whiskey On You,” “World on Fire,” “Bulletproof,” and his current hit, “Fix What You Didn’t Break.” He made history by becoming the first artist to launch a country career with three straight multi-week No. 1 songs.

Smith’s 2023 self-titled debut album went gold, followed by California Gold, which showcased his high-energy sound and genre-blending collaborations. He’s earned recognition from the ACMs, CMA, Billboard, and Amazon Music, including ACM New Male Artist of the Year and Billboard’s Country Power Players Rookie of the Year.

Ticket presales for Backrest Signage holders and Friends of the Fair run Monday, May 11 through Thursday, May 14. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 8:00 am CT on Tuesday, May 19. Pricing and ticket information is available at sdstatefair.com.

The 2026 South Dakota State Fair runs September 2 through September 7, with Nate Smith set to deliver one of the week’s biggest nights on the Grandstand stage.
