RAPID CITY, S.D. – A man has died from injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle crash Friday evening near Rapid City in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol reported that a 1994 Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide was traveling east on SD 44 when a deer entered the roadway. The driver was unable to avoid striking the animal.
The driver was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died Sunday morning. The name of the man has not been released pending notification of family members.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
