STURGIS, S.D. – A man from North Dakota was sentenced to 10 years in prison with one year suspended in a Meade County courtroom Friday.

Robert Shipp, 37, pleaded guilty in October to vehicular battery in connection with an incident at the 2024 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Shipp was driving a motorcycle on August 10, 2024, when he struck a female pedestrian at the Buffalo Chip Campground.
