RAPID CITY, SD — Early this morning, officers of the RCPD were dispatched in response to a report from a convenience store located at the 600 block of Mountain View Rd.
Officers upon reaching the scene, police arrested Michael Salazar, a Rapid City man. Following this, police were able to learn that Salazar had allegedly been involved in an altercation with a store employee which resulted in the 28-year-old drawing what appeared to be a firearm, and threatening to shoot according to the department’s report of the incident.
“Salazar was taken into custody without incident; however he was uncooperative and made threats toward law enforcement during his arrest,” says Lt. Kelvin Masur in a report given following the incident. Police have charged Salazar with Robbery, Threatening Law Enforcement, and a Parole Hold.
