DEADWOOD, S.D. – A single-vehicle crash into a building at 11 Charles Street in Deadwood this morning resulted in one injury and significant structural damage.
Deadwood Fire & Rescue was called to the scene at 8:56 a.m. for an accident involving a car and a building with initial reports indicating a patient was trapped inside the vehicle. Med units successfully removed the patient from the car shortly after arrival.
Due to the substantial damage to the structure, utility companies and the city building inspector were called to assess the scene and ensure safety. Responding utility crews included Montana Dakota Utilities and Black Hills Energy.
Following clearance from inspection and utility crews, the vehicle was removed from the site by JP Towing.
