RAPID CITY, SD — Yesterday, Books-A-Million (BAM), a national retail chain of bookstores announced that it would be closing its Rapid City location.
The store was known for its wide selection of writing for individuals of all ages, as well as their significant repository of gift items based on popular franchises.
Though the reasons for the closure are currently unknown as of the time of writing, it can be speculated that the business may have faced steep competition from fellow national bookstore Barnes & Noble, who opened a location in Rapid City’s Rushmore Crossing less than a year ago.
