RAPID CITY, SD – Today, the Black Hills Association of REALTORS has formally backed the Liberty Land TIF in a press release. They are urging Rapid City voters to approve the measure in the January, 20th special election.
The association announced its support for a “YES” vote on the Rapid City Destination District.
The press releases states that they are endorsing the TIF to “facilitate development in our area. New development creates additional tax base that is essential as population increases require additional funds for schools and other essential services.”
The press release has Kelly Howie, BHAR President and Ed Dreyer, 2025 RPAC Trustee Chair name’s on the footer.

We do not need a population increase!! The hills are already overrun and many of our natural areas and scenic views are being downtrodden and overused. We are losing skylines and wild spaces daily. Enough!
