Black Hills Counties Among November Sobriety Checkpoint Sites

Rapid City, S.D. – The South Dakota Highway Patrol announced this week that it will conduct sobriety checkpoints in 16 counties across the state during November, including several in the Rapid City area.

The planned checkpoints are part of an ongoing effort to deter impaired driving and boost public safety on South Dakota roadways. The areas selected for the November checkpoints include counties stretching from the eastern plains to western South Dakota, specifically Beadle, Brown, Codington, Custer, Davison, Jackson, Lake, Lawrence, Lyman, Meade, Minnehaha, Moody, Pennington, Roberts, Stanley, and Yankton.
