WALL, S.D. – Authorities have identified the man who died in a single-vehicle crash Friday evening in Pennington County.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol identified the victim as Keith Olin Brummet, 20, of Wall.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, near the intersection of S.D. Highway 240 and Big Foot Road, located about 11 miles south of Wall and east of Rapid City, South Dakota.
According to preliminary information from the Department of Public Safety, Brummet was driving a 2018 Nissan Murano southbound on S.D. Highway 240. Investigators state that the vehicle missed a curve, entered a ditch and came to rest 50 feet down an embankment.
Brummet was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He sustained fatal injuries.
