Barry Trotz is retiring as Predators GM once a successor is found, AP source says

Barry Trotz is retiring as general manager of the Nashville Predators after just under three years on the job, according to a person with knowledge of the decision. The person tells The Associated Press that Trotz will remain in the role until a successor is found. The Predators scheduled a news conference for Monday afternoon with Trotz, majority owner Bill Haslam and CEO Sean Henry. Trotz took over from longtime GM David Poile in the summer of 2023. Nashville made the playoffs the following season, then missed in 2024-25 after spending $100 million in free agency.
