A taste of nature can provide balance and calm during the workday

Getting into nature can be challenging during the workday. Many professions allow little time or access to the outdoors. But there are ways to enjoy the natural world even if you’re place of work is a windowless office cubicle. Scheduled meetings don’t have to be held indoors. An in-person appointment can happen on a park bench or while taking a walk. Mobile devices mean virtual get-togethers also aren’t limited to conventional workspaces. When the weather is cold, listening to recorded bird songs, putting leaves, flower petals or plants on your desk, or bundling up for a walk to a nearby garden are ways to get a breath of fresh air on the job.
