STURGIS, S.D. – Whitewood and Sturgis area fire crews responded to a house fire late Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was located east of Whitewood on Whitewood Valley Road.
The home was heavily damaged by the fire.
Sturgis Fire Chief Scott Lensegrav says no serious injuries were reported, but the homeowner received some minor burns.
An investigation into the fire’s cause is underway.
