The federal government and a District of Columbia water authority have jurisdiction over the busted pipe. Still, Trump took aim at Moore on social media Monday and said he “cannot allow incompetent Local ‘Leadership’” to turn the Potomac into “a Disaster Zone.” A spokesman for Moore said Environmental Protection Agency officials did not participate in a recent state legislative hearing about the cleanup and said the Trump administration has been broadly “shirking its responsibility” on the repair and cleanup.

The results on film led to acclaim, amusement, head-shaking, finger-pointing and in the case of “Titicut Follies,” prolonged legal action.

How the rich pass on their wealth. And how you can too

Death and taxes may be inevitable, but a big bill for your heirs doesn’t have to be. Estate planners say many of the strategies used by the wealthy to smoothly pass on money also work for families with far more modest assets. While most Americans won’t owe estate taxes, inheritances can still get tied up in probate court, costing families time and money. Chinese fine dining slices through America’s takeout-food stereotypes

Upscale Chinese American restaurants, from San Francisco to New York City, have sprung up in recent years, garnering buzz beyond Chinese food takeout staples with refined tasting menus. Many will put special spins on traditional Lunar New Year dishes for the Year of the Fire Horse, which begins Tuesday. Doing creative deconstructions on classic Chinese foods is part of their culinary hallmark, as many chefs are hungry to showcase their own culture. But in an industry where diners rarely question high-price menus at a French haute cuisine or Japanese omakase, Chinese restaurateurs often contend with resistance in getting customers to pay fine dining tabs. They say their food, labor and cooking techniques are just as worthy.
