Nikola Jokic had 22 points, 17 assists and 14 rebounds to pass Oscar Robertson for the second-most triple-doubles in NBA history and the Denver Nuggets ended a three-game skid with a 136-120 victory over the Chicago Bulls. It was Jokic’s 182nd regular-season triple-double, 19th this season and second in as many games. He trails only Russell Westbrook, who has 207. Jamal Murray added 28 points and 11 assists for the Nuggets. Matas Buzelis scored 21 points for the Bulls, who have lost four straight.

Falcons rookie Pearce arrested after what police said was a domestic dispute with WNBA player

Atlanta Falcons rookie star James Pearce Jr. was arrested near Miami on Saturday night after fleeing officers and then crashing his car following what police said was a domestic dispute with WNBA player Rickea Jackson. Pearce, the first-round pick who led the Falcons in sacks and was third in NFL defensive rookie of the year voting, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after Doral police were summoned to investigate a reported domestic dispute. According to jail records, Pearce is facing charges of two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon as well as aggravated stalking and fleeing or eluding police with lights or siren. Bond was not immediately set on all the charges. Jackson plays for the Los Angeles Sparks.

Miles Bridges scored 26 points, Kon Knueppel had 23 and the Charlotte Hornets beat the Atlanta Hawks 126-119 for their ninth straight win. The Hornets’ win streak is the longest active streak in the NBA and the best run for the franchise since it also won nine in a row during the 1998-99 season. Jalen Johnson had 31 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for Atlanta, which had won six of eight.

The WNBA’s newest proposal to the players’ union that was delivered Friday made small increases to its revenue sharing offer and concessions on housing according to two people familiar with the negotiations. The people spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press on Saturday because of the sensitive nature of the discussions. The major sticking point continues to be revenue sharing. Union president Nneka Ogwumike told the AP on Friday — before the league’s proposal was submitted to the union — that the two sides weren’t close on that topic in their effort to strike a new collective bargaining agreement.

The Baltimore Orioles have won their salary arbitration case against pitcher Keegan Akin. Akin was awarded $2,975,000 instead of his $3,375,000 request. The decision was made by arbitrators John Stout, Jeanne Charles, and Samantha Tower. Akin, a 30-year-old left-hander, had a 5-4 record with a 3.41 ERA last season. He can become a free agent after this year’s World Series. Players lead 5-1 in arbitration cases this year. Two cases have been argued with decisions pending, and five more hearings are scheduled for next week.

Brad Arnold, the lead singer of the Grammy-nominated rock band 3 Doors Down, has died. He was 47. Arnold’s death comes months after he announced that he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer. The band says in a statement that Arnold died Saturday “surrounded by loved ones, in his sleep.” 3 Doors Down formed in Mississippi in 1995 and four years later received a Grammy nomination for the breakout hit “Kryptonite.” The band says Arnold wrote the song in math class when he was 15 years old. The group’s debut album, “The Better Life,” sold over 6 million copies.

Police arrest protesters at Minneapolis federal building on 1-month anniversary of woman’s death

Police have arrested at least several protesters outside a federal building in Minneapolis on the one-month anniversary of Renee Good’s death. A federal immigration officer shot and killed Good in her car in Minneapolis on Jan. 7. Her death and that of another protester, Alex Pretti, just weeks later have sparked outrage over President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown. Scores of protesters gathered Saturday outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building. The crowd threw bottles and sex toys at police officers. The Minnesota Star Tribune reports that police started making arrests after the crowd threw ice chunks and hit a deputy in the head. No one from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office responded to messages from The Associated Press seeking details.
